Ripe! @ Galleri Urbane July 10 - August 14

July 10, 2021

"In her contribution, Rachel Hellmann departs from the works on paper and shaped-wood paintings the Terre Haute artist has become known for. In Slide By (2020), Hellmann’s origami-inspired geometric abstractions are produced on a ground of cut aluminum that appears to float from the wall. The work’s vibrant colors coupled with its irregular edges create playful illusions of depth, complimented by a subtle glow of green emanating from behind."
